A Company Rich In History.
The D&S Plating Co. was founded by Steven and Debbie Dupuis in [1984]. After serving in the Army, Steve worked as a supervisor at several electroplating operations before deciding to start his own operation. D&S provides decorative metal finishing services to manufacturers across several industries including architectural hardware, security, aerospace and defense, and automotive.
After the founding of D&S Plating, Steve was approached by his brother, Mickey Dupuis, about expanding D&S’s services into chrome restoration for the classic automotive industry. Mickey, who had a passion for classic cars and collectibles, saw a need for a specialist in concours chrome to provide brightwork for automotive restoration shops. By combining Mickey’s passion with D&S’s existing plating capabilities, D&S Custom was born.
Today, D&S Custom continues its pursuit of delivering the finest concours chrome restoration in the industry. Our work can be found in the world’s rarest, most exclusive automotive and marine collections, and has won several awards alongside our restoration partners and owners at showcases across the globe.
